Jane Club Moving to 429 N. Larchmont

The founder of the Jane Club announced it will be moving to 429 N. Larchmont Blvd. at last night’s meeting of the Larchmont Village Neighborhood Association.

The Jane Club will be relocating its operations to 429 N. Larchmont Blvd., north of Beverly Blvd., in the commercially-zoned part of the neighborhood.  The move from the club’s current location, at 236 S. Larchmont, will end the occupation of its controversial current home in a residentially-zoned portion of the neighborhood. According to to the Jane Club’s website, the club offers community, networking, childcare and professional support for working women.

Jane Club co-founder Jess Zaino told to the Larchmont Village Neighborhood Association last night that the club hosted an event last week for presidential hopeful Senator Kirsten Gillibrand as part of the “soft” opening of the club’s new location.  Zaino said it would be officially opening very soon.  The club also hosted an Oscar watch party at the new location, for the National Alliance of Domestic Workers, according to KCBS local news.

“We are always pleased when someone who was a law-breaker becomes law abiding,” said Charles D’Atri, LVNA President. “The move brings them into compliance with the law. It brings some vitality to North Larchmont and gets rid of a problem on South Larchmont, so we welcomed them to the neighborhood.”
