There are some interesting homes on the market in the area that Curbed LA has featured recently.
In Windsor Square, the O’Melveny House built in 1909 by one of the most prestigious architectural firms of the era – Hunt,Eager & Burns – is on the market for $7.595M but you wouldn’t know by walking by. There’s no sign out front of 501 S Plymouth Blvd, and we hear that parties interested in this Los Angeles Cultural Monument need to be pre-qualified before they can get inside for a look . In the Country Club Park neighborhood just south of Olympic, an investor grabbed up a 1912 home put on the market after plans for it to be a ‘birthing house’  were quashed by city officials. The hardwood entryway, solid staircase and walls of windows, all with distinctly Prairie / Craftsman influences, were re-worked and  set to shine. Thanks in part to the Historic Overlay Preservation Zone (HPOZ) protections and the vision of team that renovated the Gramercy Place house, another grand old dame of real estate may live out her years in glory.
