It was built for Warner in 1923 and designed by architect A. Burnside Sturges. Though according to the Los Angeles Times Hot Property Warner sold the house just two years later to finance the film “The Jazz Singer,” one of the first feature-length films incorporating sound.

There are 7 historic bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Most of the original architecture details are still in tact including a wood-paneled screening room.

The house was last sold in 2010 for $2,950,000 after going into foreclosure in 2009. 501 S Rossmore will be open for brokers and realtors on Tuesday.
