The 1906 English Tudor Revival at 627 South Plymouth Bl., where department store founder John Bullock lived with his family for decades, is on the market again after a renovation. The house was designed by  Sumner Hunt and Wesley Eager, architects of our own Wilshire Ebell on Wilshire at Lucerne, among other acclaimed Los Angeles buidlings. It originally sat at Wilshire and Vermont but was moved to its current location in Windsor Square in 1925, sitting just north of the Scottish Rites Masonic Temple.

The 6,000 square foot house on a half acre was bought by in late 2011 for $2.75M. After months of renovations,  gallons of white paint and lots of yard work, it is now on the market for $4.495M. The before and after photos supplied by the realtor via CurbedLA show the lastest rendition of the house has been white-washed of much of its character. It remains a grand old mansion, though, and at the age of 106, is dressed for another decade.
