Dear Buzz Readers:
It’s hard to believe how much life has changed around our Larchmont community in the last month. Over the past two weeks, we have been doing our best to document the impact COVID-19 is having our extended community, as well as gathering official announcements and pages of resources that may help all of us through this challenging time.
We have talked to many of our local business owners so we can share their stories, and many have taken advantage of our offer of free advertising on our website so you can easily find them. We have also shared stories about how people are taking action to help their families, how our local police are going above and beyond their jobs to help out, and how our teenagers are finding creative ways to assist those in need during this time. And there are many more stories to tell. We are also still covering the rest of the news, keeping you informed about how other kinds of events are also affecting our community. Like this morning’s announcement the Larchmont Playground has been postponed indefinitely.
We hope you are staying safe at home as much as you can, while also staying connected through the Buzz. We invite you to share the Buzz with your friends, subscribe if you are not already part of our hive, and follow our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter). And, of course, we welcome your comments and suggestions on any of these forums. This helps us enormously!
Enjoy your weekend and these photos of the little gifts that some of our youngest neighbors have been leaving for walkers to find. (“Kids are decorating rocks with words of encouragement and putting them all around the neighborhood for people to find,” Heather Duffy Boylston told us. “It’s like an early Easter Egg hunt!”)
