And, Finally, Your Reward: Election Day Food Deals

We know, we know…voting is a selfless act done in the purest spirit of community benefit.  We absolutely believe this.  But it’s also nice to know that surviving a tough election season (and what election season hasn’t been tougher than this one?) can sometimes bring a more tangible reward, too.

As EaterLA reported yesterday, many LA-area food establishements are offering freebies, specials or discounts for those who bring in or send photos of their “I Voted” stickers.  And at least a few are in our own back yard, including:

Milk Jar Cookies – 5466 Wilshire Blvd.

Tag them in your “I Voted” pics on Instagram for a 20% off promo code.

Tacos Tu Madre – 203 N. Larchmont Blvd.

$1 churros on election day  if you show your “I Voted” sticker.

Uncool Burgers – 139 N. Larchmont Blvd.

“Everyone who shows up with their I Voted sticker gets free fries with their burger order.”

And these aren’t the only deals out there today.  For example, USA Today lists several national chains that are offering discounts and freebies, including Krispy Kreme, which is offering free glazed donuts…and grocery store Smart & Final, which will send a coupon to save “10% on your entire in store purchase now through Election Day, November 3, 2020.”

Just a few more reasons to be glad you voted!
