Another day, another list. Â But since this one is about ice cream, we couldn’t resist.
The Best Ice Cream in Los Angeles, Ranked;  Your guide to frozen goodness is courtesy of PureWow Los Angeles, a women’s lifestyle platform.  “In Los Angeles,” notes the article, “you have your pick of the best of the best, like super-rich ice milk stuffed between two brownies, perfectly smooth soft serve and the one and only ice cream hot dog. (Trust us, it’s amazing.)”
PureWow lists 15 ice-cream shops you need to visit this summer in ranked order…and it includes, at the top of the stack, Larchmont’s Salt and Straw, now offering berry-themed “fruits of summer” flavors through July.  (For what it’s worth, The Buzz wholeheartedly agrees with PureWow about “Meyer lemon buttermilk with blueberries, a flavor that rings of SoCal summertime with every mouthful.”)
Other local-ish favorites on the PureWow list include Mashti Malone’s, Shake Shack (West Hollywood location), Honeymee (Koreatown location), Sweet Rose Creamery (mid-city location), Milk, and Jon & Vinny’s.
Of course, as with any exclusive rankings, we could quibble that some of our other local favorites weren’t included.  (See Mateo’s Ice Cream and Fruit Bars, Bennett’s and Scoops, in particular.)
Still, ice cream, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder, or in this case…taster. So we invite you to help us a make our own list — where should we go this summer for the best ice cream in mid-town L.A.?
