Café Gratitude Labor Day Vegan Ice Cream Showdown

There will be a Vegan Ice Cream Showdown at Café Gratitude on Monday, just in time to beat the Labor Day weekend heat! (photo from Café Gratitude)

Café Gratitude loves a good party. I should know. I’ve been to the last few, eating, drinking and enjoying the small-town feel of our beloved Larchmont neighborhood while discovering the newest products in the vegan food marketplace on the patio of the restaurant.

On Monday, they’ll be hosting another special event to introduce people to what’s new and hot, or should I say cold….

Ice Cream!

I know. When you think of eating a plant-based diet, ice cream is not at the top of the list of foods to sample. But just because one is vegan, doesn’t mean the craving for that favorite dessert of young and old alike dissipates. It doesn’t! I love ice cream!

I’m excited to sample several new small, artisanal companies creating fantastic plant-based ice creams that replicate dairy based ice creams. The companies that will be represented at this event are Yoga-urtSunscoopDream Pops, and JD’sVegan Ice Cream. In addition, there will be small bites, live music, raffle prizes, a special boozy ice cream drink and an opportunity to taste, judge and vote for your favorite ice cream. There will be a winner crowned and you can be a part of that!

The Café Gratitude Labor Day Vegan Ice Cream Showdown is on Monday, September 5th, from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. on North Larchmont. Come have dessert first before your Labor Day BBQ!

Event tickets are $20 and available through Eventbrite.
I hope to see you there!
