There’s a new colorful mural on Larchmont, with a message about caring for the the earth. Café Gratitude & Kiss The Ground, the nonprofit and movie of the same name, about the benefits of regenerative agriculture, has collaborated with 11:11 A Creative Collective, a women-led non-profit public art organization, and artist Miles Lewis, to create an educational community mural representing regenerative soil.
“The mural presents human beings loving the earth, it’s a beautiful way to waken hearts and minds in Los Angeles” says Ryland Engelhart, Co-Founder of Kiss The Ground & Co-Owner of Café Gratitude.
The location of the mural, across the parking area from the entrance to Café Gratitude, is no accident. Café Gratitude, which also owns and operates Gracias Madre in Hollywood, has built a successful restaurant operation featuring “vegetable-forward and seasonal-friendly dishes that promote a healthy lifestyle and environment,” according to company representatives.
Thanks to 11:11 A Creative Collective for sharing these photos of the mural in progress.
