Didn’t Vote in March? Please Take This Survey…

Did you vote in the March 7 municipal elections?  If not, please check out the survey link below.

Back on March 7, there were some very important races (Mayor, City Council representatives, and a bunch of significant propositions dealing with everything from big development to regulation of marijuana sales) on the ballot in our local elections…but still only 17 percent of registered voters in the city bothered to go to the polls.

Many people have speculated about reasons for the low turnout, but a student at Cal State Dominguez Hills is now making a more formal study of it and would love to hear from people who didn’t vote in the March 7 municipal elections.  If you are a registered voter who just didn’t make it to the polls that day – for whatever reason – please take a few minutes to complete the short, anonymous survey at . And if you did vote, but know someone else who didn’t, please feel free to forward the request to them.  All responses are welcome, but the study could especially use more responses from men at the moment.

According to our student correspondent, “the survey is designed to be anonymous, quick, and easy for people who are busy. There is one optional opportunity to write a longer answer, but the rest is check boxes and will take literally just a couple of minutes to complete.”  Also, “You can click through and look at all the questions without completing the survey if you want to review it first.”

Voting is easy…and this is even faster and easier.  So please participate if you can. We’re curious to see the results, and we promise to share them here when they’re ready.
