For various reasons, we headed out early this foggy morning and found Nurse Vanessa Greene setting up for another day of free, no-appointment COVID testing at First Street and Larchmont Blvd., around the corner from Chase Bank. Greene told us that she’d be there today through Sunday. Next week, Green will be back at the Ebell of Los Angeles testing from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11 in the west parking lot, and Friday, January 14, in the east parking lot on Lucerne.
No appointment is necessary, tests are done on a first come, first serve basis. Â The tests are free, but if you have insurance, you are requested to enter your insurance information. Results are being processed in 24- 36 hours (as opposed to the previously-promised 12 hour turnaround) due to high demand on the lab. Be sure to bring your cellphone to complete the online registration, and Greene now has extra staff to help with that since it’s a bit confusing.
We also found the the Coldwell Banker clean up crew picking up trash on the sidewalks on Larchmont.
“We meet every Friday at 8:00 a.m. to pick up the litter on the sidewalks,” Bob Day told the Buzz. “Anyone is welcome to join us.”
And of course, we had to take a photo of our bus bench looking very cheerful on this foggy, wet morning.
Patricia,
I may just drop by the Ebell on Monday. Thanks for the tip.
