Holiday Trash Collection Schedule

Just a quick reminder that because our Christmas and New Year’s holidays are on Sundays this year, the official city holiday dates are Monday, December 26, and Monday, January 2…which means trash collections for the next two weeks will be a day later than usual.  Here’s the schedule from the Los Angeles Department of Sanitation:

“Because the holidays are observed on Mondays, the Monday collections will occur Tuesday, the Tuesday collections will occur Wednesday, the Wednesday collections will occur Thursday, the Thursday collections will occur Friday, and the Friday collections will occur Saturday for those two weeks only. Please place your bins curbside the night before the delayed holiday collection day, not the night before your regularly-scheduled collection day. Note that cardboard will be accepted curbside between now and the end of December if it is broken down and tied into 4-foot by 4-foot bundles weighing no more than 30 pounds each. Please place them curbside in plain view so that the drivers can easily see them.

If you have recycLA service (for commercial or multi-family), please reach out to your recycLA service provider for their holiday schedule.
