Larchmont Boulevard Merchants Continuing to Decorate for the Holidays

Landis Gifts and Stationery

Businesses on Larchmont Boulevard have been busy at work decorating their store fronts to make the Boulevard especially festive for the holidays. As we wrote earlier, there’s a secondary motivation for making their shops and restaurants look extra special…the Larchmont BID is hosting a Holiday Lighting and Storefront Decorating Contest where the first prize is $500!  Winners will also receive ad space in the Larchmont Buzz and the Larchmont Chronicle.

Landis Gifts and Stationery sent us some pictures of their storefront and we thought we would share. It’s particularly festive and they’ve documented the team effort that went into this years Landis window. The window was designed by Lauren Bresnahan, who works at Landis. Bresnahan is originally from Spokane, went to University of Washington, where she was on the crew team – then she moved to Los Angeles and attended FIDM where she built sets and did displays. Her talents obviously give Landis an edge in the contest, but there are other competitors…some with long family histories of window decorating… who will compete!

It’s fun to see this transformation. Do stop by and give all the participating stores a shout out for their efforts! And feel free to send us pictures of your favorites…we’ll share them with our readers.
