Passover Scavenger Hunt

Find Passover symbols like these for fire and hail and the Passover seder plate in Windsor Square windows in the Passover Scavenger Hunt.

Tonight is the second night of Passover. If you’re looking for a unique and fun way to celebrate today, you may want to take a walk (maintaining appropriate social distance, of course) in Windsor Square, and look for Passover symbols in the windows of houses participating in a Passover Scavenger hunt created by the Corwin family. Think of it as a riff on the hunt for the Afikomen, the broken-off piece of matzah that is hidden for children to find at the end of the seder.

Thanks to Windsor Square resident Zoe Corwin for sharing the family’s Passover Scavenger Hunt idea with the Buzz.

“On Passover, Jews around the world ask ‘Why is this night different from all other nights?’ That question has never resonated more. We’ve decided to throw in a fun twist…this Passover is different because we’ve put together a window-based Passover scavenger hunt!” wrote Corwin.

It’s pretty simple, just look for the great artwork in the windows. The prize is the good feeling you’ll have knowing that you helped raise funds to feed health workers, the working poor and the unhoused.  For every winning entry (finding all 18 symbols) the Corwins will donate $10 (the cost of one meal) to the for Big Sunday’s Emergency Fund.

Below are Corwin’s instructions:

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
