Pedestrian Barricade Completed at Larchmont’s Former Lipson Building

The pedestrian barricade across the front of the former Lipson Building at 124 1/2 -148 N. Larchmont is now completed. Thanks to Brookside based photographer Charlie Hess for these images that show the completed structure.

“The walkway was clean and no graffiti. (Yet!) And quiet,” reported Hess. As you can see from Hess’s photos, the walkway has narrowed the sidewalk and it could be hard to maintain a safe social distance when lots of people are on the street.

The Buzz has still not received a response to our inquiries to building owner Christina Development about a construction timeline for the renovation of the building, initially expected to take two years. We will keep you posted when we hear more information.
