Over the past several months, the Buzz has dedicated hundreds of hours to covering the Los Angeles City Council redistricting process. That’s a lot of commitment for a small, local news website, but it’s also a reflection of values and our founding vision for the Buzz.
Ten years ago, the Buzz went online to provide timely, accurate, valuable information that connects readers to our community, helps people better understand their neighborhoods and the city in which they’re located, and creates an ongoing record of life in our general Greater Wilshire area.
Over the years, we have grown steadily. We often hear from readers that they appreciate our efforts. But honestly, the reaction to our redistricting coverage really humbled us because, let’s face it, redistricting is really dense. Yet our coverage resonated with readers who eagerly read each story and repeatedly told us we were their only source for coverage.
We’re proud to share some of the comments:
“Covering the redistricting process ALONE would be a full-time job! The Buzz is the best source for that information, by far, for our area and beyond! Kudos.”
“I just wanted to say that you had better win some sort of award for your incredible and in-depth coverage of LA’s redistricting process. It really can’t be found anywhere else…I am in awe!”
“I don’t know how you haven’t lost your mind following all the redistricting “stuff.” Thank you for continuing to provide such excellent coverage.”
As we take a break to enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday, we’d like to thank all our readers – your messages of support really do help keep us going. We’d also like to thank all our reader sponsors who support us with a one-time or ongoing financial contribution and all our advertisers who believe in our ability deliver quality content they want to be associated with.
Thankful for our Larchmont Buzz hive!
