Ballot Drop-Off Boxes and Some Early Voting Centers are Now Open; More Coming on June 4

This map shows the early voting and ballot drop-off locations closest to our Buzz readership area, which will all be open on June 4.  Green = early voting location.  Yellow = ballot drop-off location.  Purple = early voting and ballot drop-off location.  Currently the yellow drop-off box locations are open to receive ballots, and one Vote Center (at Trinity Central Lutheran Church, 987 S. Gramercy Pl.) is open for in-person voting and ballot drop-offs.

As we reported on May 19, early voting for the June 7 primary election started on May 9 with the opening of secure ballot drop boxes throughout LA County.  Then, on May 28, a few in-person Vote Centers and ballot drop-off locations also opened for early voting either in person or by dropping off completed ballots.  And in just four days, on June 4, many more Vote Centers will open throughout our area, as shown on the map above.

So in just a few days, voters will have three ways to vote in the June 7 election.

  • In person or by dropping off completed ballots at any Vote Center in LA County. The closest one already open is at Trinity Central Lutheran Church, at 987 S Gramercy Pl., 90019 (hours are May 28-June 6  from 10 a.m-7 p.m., and June 7 from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.). And then, on June 4, many more Vote Centers will open and operate daily through June 7. (The map above and the chart below show those closest to our general Larchmont/Greater Wilshire readership area.)
  • Drop your completed ballot into any of the 400 Ballot Drop Boxes throughout LA County (those closest to us are also shown on the above map and listed in the chart below).
  • Mail your completed ballot (it must be postmarked by election day, June 7, and received by June 14 to be counted).

To search for voting locations in other parts of the County, or to get more information about the voting locations shown above, see:

  • https://caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov/ – Shows all Vote Centers, ballot drop off locations, or locations allowing both drop-off and in-person locations (but does not distinguish between the vote centers that opened on May 28 and those that don’t open until June 4).

All registered voters should already have received their vote-by-mail (or drop-off) ballots.  If you did not receive a ballot, and want to check your registration status, see https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.

And if you want to track the status of your ballot at any stage, see https://california.ballottrax.net/voter/.

Happy voting!
