Bureau of Street Services Seeking Nominations for Asphalt Street Repairs

The Bureau of Street Services (BSS) is starting off the new year by helping us fix our streets. The agency has scheduled a Small Asphalt Repair truck to perform minor fixes to Greater Wilshire-area curbs, sidewalks and asphalt streets in January, and has asked the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council to help identify 15 top-priority locations for those repairs.

Residents can help by sending photos, addresses and information about the spots most in need of repair to the GWNC’s Transportation Committee at [email protected]. Committee representatives will collect the information and send it to the BSS staff, so they can inspect the proposed locations, and determine the need for repairs and feasibility of completing the work on the scheduled date. Submissions must be received by the GWNC by Friday, December 18, 2015.

The repairs will be performed on January 6, 2016, weather permitting.  This is the third small asphalt repair project offered in our area by BoS and coordinated by the GWNC.
