Larchmont was abuzz last night with a VIP Opening for the newest shop on the boulevard, Diptyque Paris. The high-end Parisian candle and fragrance boutique was glowing bright while champagne and appetizers were passed to guests including diptyque’s ‘ambassadors’ actress Katherine Ross and Brigette Romanek.
The first diptyque store to open in Los Angeles, the new space is a “perfect marriage” between the french emporium and Larchmont Village, noted diptyque’s new store manager, Isabel Mayfield. Mayfield, a Hancock Park area resident for the last 20 years, told the Buzz she loves being in the store every day, seeing all the familiar faces in the neighborhood walk by or drop in.
The boutique is stocked with home fragrances, infusers, personal fragrances, body care products and the very popular perfumed candles in glass jars – ranging in price from $60- $275. For more background on diptyque, see Larchmont Buzz: Diptyque Coming to Larchmont
