Canyon Road Under Repair – Access to Bronson Canyon is Limited

As part of the Griffith Park Road Improvement Project, Canyon Road from the entry gate of Bronson Canyon to Hollywoodland Girls’ Camp is closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic from August 13 – October 5, 2012.

For those neighbors who like to hike Bronson Canyon, the trails can still be accessed by way of the Mulholland Trail. But the equipment being used to resurface the streets and improve catch basins in the area will block access to Bronson Canyon Park via Canyon Drive.

Sometimes when one door closes, another one opens. With access to Bronson being difficult for the next 2 months, it’s a great time to explore other trails in Griffith Park. Check out this hiking blog called Dan’s Hiking Pages and discover other trails that can open up a new side of Griffith Park to you!

Repairs to Canyon Road are being paid for with Proposition K funds.
