City Seeks Stakeholder Input on Important Housing Topics

How can we best prevent people from losing their homes?  What’s the best way to create new housing in Los Angeles?  How do we make sure all Angelenos have access to adequate and affordable housing?  What’s the best way to address homelessness and get people off the streets?  What do we want our residential built environment to look like?

Housing is one of the hottest and most important topics in the city right now.  And as it so happens, the city is also now in the middle of updating the Housing Element of its General Plan, which addresses the questions above and sets housing policies and goals for the next decade.

As part of this major planning process, the city is currently conducting a Plan to House LA Survey, asking as many people as possible for their views on a wide variety of housing-related challenges, concepts, values, and potential strategies that could shape the city’s housing policies.  The topics include addressing the city’s current housing shortage, advancing racial equity and access to opportunity, and promoting sustainability and resilience.

If you’d like to weigh in on this important topic, you can take the survey at https://migsurvey.limequery.com/813839

You’re also invited to share the survey link far and wide.
