Larchmont was buzzing yesterday after neighbors saw a half dozen police cars speeding down Larchmont Blvd chasing a black Range Rover.  According to news reports,  the incident began shortly after 12:30 when police began pursuit of a reckless driver and ended about 10 minutes later when the Range Rover driver crashed into a light pole past the intersection of Arden and Beverly boulevards near Larchmont Blvd. The driver was not injured and was taken into custody by police.
Neighbors who drove by the scene told the Buzz they were stunned to see the car engulfed in flames. Traffic along that portion of Beverly was re-routed while the street was closed off.
Walking by that area last evening, I was amazed to see the lamppost, street light, crosswalk button (which is on a separate post) – everything had been perfectly restored. Incredibly fast work on the part of the crew who fixed it!
I tried to watch this video but, even with high speed internet, your server is so slow it wouldn’t load. This is an ongoing problem–at least for me–that I don’t encounter on other sites. I love your blog but could you consider updating to a faster server?
Oops, we didn’t link that image to KTLA’s website where the video is hosted. Please try it again, it should be working now. Sorry about that — thanks for letting us know.
