Hancock Park DNC Fundraiser Cancelled Due to Federal Government Shutdown

The twice scheduled Democratic National Committee fundraiser planned for a home in Hancock Park has now officially been cancelled due to the federal government shutdown.

First Lady Michelle Obama was scheduled to headline a $32,000-a-head political fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee at the Hancock Park home of “Everybody Loves Raymond” creator Philip Rosenthal on Friday, October 11th. This event was a make-good for the originally scheduled September 9th fundraiser with President Obama, which was cancelled when the Syrian crisis escalated the week before.

The money pledged on this California fundraising leg would have gone to support the Democrats’ efforts in the 2014 mid-term elections.
