Heavenly Couture Clothing, at 133 N Larchmont Blvd., will be closing in mid-September. Staff at the store told the Buzz they are closing because of the escalation in the rent. (Our calls to the corporate headquarters were not returned.) Heavenly Couture had been on Larchmont for more than seven years.
According to the company’s website, Heavenly Couture is a small family-owned business that started as a small boutique in Laguna Beach in 2006. They have seven locations in the Los Angeles area, including Larchmont and other stores in California and Florida.
In July, Bite Beauty will be opening a Lip Lab, where customers can create their own lipsticks at 142 N. Larchmont.
It’s really too bad about Heavenly Couture closing. I just love this store. Too much greed going on asking for such high rent. I guess landlords prefer empty buildings over businesses in action, who actually provide a fine product at a fair price. Too many businesses are falling to super high rent.
