Larchmont Boulevard regulars will have noticed that the new bike corral in front of Burger Lounge and Larchmont Village Wine & Cheese was dented when a car/truck backed into it sometime in the last few weeks. On Thursday, workers from the LADOT repaired the corral and installed break-away posts to create a bigger protected zone for the space.
Rumor has been that this Larchmont Boulevard bike corral will soon have an adjacent Fixit repair station. The @LADOT tweet below confirms that one is on the way. According to the Fixit site:
The repair station will include all the tools necessary to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance, from changing a flat to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. The tools and air pump are securely attached to the stand with stainless steel cables and tamper-proof fasteners. Hanging the bike from the hanger arms allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments.
Stay tuned!
