Larchmont Residents Rally to Help Larchmont Village Neighbors

Lucerne Blvd residents rally to help their Larchmont Village neighbors who lost their home and two cats in a fire last weekend.

Last Saturday, the Lucerne Blvd home of Jon Dahlberg and his family in Larchmont Village was destroyed by a fire that also took the lives of two beloved cats.

When word of the tragedy spread through the tight-knit Larchmont Village neighborhood of north Lucerne and Arden Blvds, residents sprung into action and set up a gofundme.com fundraising page to help their neighbors as ” they embark on the arduous journey of rebuilding their lives,” according to the page.

Dahlberg told the Buzz he was enormously gratified at the response of his “amazingly generous neighbors.”

“I just want to express my profound gratitude to my neighbors,” said Dahlberg.

Dahlberg and his family have been members of the Larchmont community for more than 20 years. They hope to rebuild their home and return to the neighborhood.
