Mid City West Neighborhood Council Holding Candidate Forum Tonight

Neighborhood Council election season is upon is, and both of our local councils – Greater Wilshire and Mid City West – will elect new board members on April 30.  Voters will be able to register for mail-in ballots for both area elections starting on March 1, but even before that, the Mid City West Neighborhood Council will be first out of the gate with an online candidate forum tonight, Monday, February 27, starting at 7 p.m.

There are 41 candidates running for the MCWNC’s 36 board seats.  All of them are local residents, business owners, or other kinds of area stakeholders…and this will be a great chance to start getting to know them and their positions on various local issues.

There are only 3 of us running for board seats against the entrenched (and ever changing lineup) of Schneider’s slate. We want to be elected to represent the voices of our neighbors and small businesses. We are running to represent YOU (and not to preach a wish list to you). Full platform on our website.
    We are:
    Elizabeth Mason – NonProfit seat
    Craig Brill – Business seat
Shelby Blecker – At Large seat
