Paying for Parking on Larchmont

The parking kiosks in the City parking lot on Larchmont now have an option so you can feed your meter from your smartphone!

Last month we reported that LA DOT had replaced our old parking kiosks with fancy new kiosks. (Thank you for installing them facing north and south out of direct sun so you can see them!) Initially, there were some issues with the kiosks, like using coins and the tap feature didn’t work. Also, the kiosks weren’t loaded onto the ParkSmarter app but now that doesn’t matter.

Now, there’s a sticker that lets you feed the meter from your smartphone so you don’t have to run back to the parking lot!

All you have to do is scan the code, type in your space, add time, and pay! It’s super easy to extend the time. Who thought paying for parking could be so much fun?

Now, for the next improvement, let’s see if we can get this feature added to the meters on the street!
