Photos of Smoke Plumes from the Woolsey Fire

Photo from William Simon, taken in Century City around 10:30 this morning, shows the large plum of smoke from the Woolsey fire in Malibu and Thousand Oaks filling the LA sky.

Thankfully the fires forcing evacuations in Malibu and Thousand Oaks are far away from our neighborhoods, though another fire was reported in Griffith Park since we started this post this morning.  Two hours ago, LAFD tweeted that that fire has been 15 percent contained, so that one seems less threatening than the still-out-of-control Woolsey Fire.

Our thanks to the neighbors who shared their photos of the plumes of smoke from the Woolsey Fire, which is filling the skies around Los Angeles. The photos were taken from various vantage points in the city as neighbors went to work in various parts of the city.
