Two COVID Test Sites on Larchmont Today; One at Ebell of LA Tomorrow

Another COVID testing site popped up on Larchmont today. This one offers a free test with results in 2-3 days.

Another free, no-appointment COVID testing site popped up on Larchmont today in front of the Wells Fargo parking lot. This one is operated by Adriana Lee, a caregiver who lives in Larchmont Village. Mrs. Lee was assisted by her son-in-law, Alex Mahali, who told the Buzz results are usually processed within 2-3 days by Hana Medical Lab.

As we have previously reported, nurse Vanessa Greene has been operating another testing site at Larchmont and First Street, around the corner from the Chase Bank. She’s there today until 5:00 p.m., and will be offering free no-appointment PCR testing at the Ebell of Los Angeles tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with results expected in 24 hours.

State legislation is funding pop up test sites to help reduce the spread of the highly contagious omicron variant as well as the still dominant Delta variant, so there are lots of no-appointment walk up testing sites popping up. Given that fast results are much more useful, it’s always a good idea to ask when you can expect results.

As we reported yesterday, rapid at-home tests are increasingly  more available at local drugstores, and LA County is now sending PCR test kits directly to residents who think they may have been exposed, or who have current symptoms.  To request a test kit, just go to http://www.covid19.lacounty.gov/hometest.

  1. The one near the Wells Fargo parking lot seems to be there daily & no waiting line. Across the street, Rite Aid continues to offer vaccinations & boosters. A limited number of daily walk-ins for boosters begin at 2pm or get an appointment online at their website.
