Now you can pick up those extra veggies mid-week. Starting today, from 1 p.m. – 5 pm., the Larchmont Farmers Market will now be open on Wednesdays, too. Long a Sunday institution, the market is now offering an extra day for customers and vendors.
The Wednesday edition of the market will feature mostly farmers, along with some of the vendors who weren’t able to sell at the Sunday market when operators were forced by the pandemic to scale back to allow for more social distancing to comply with city and county health department protocols.
Melissa Farwell, manager of the Larchmont Farmers Market, told the Buzz she’s hoping the Wednesday market will enhance the Sunday market, but not compete with it. The extra day also gives her a chance to add some new vendors who have been on waiting lists to come on Sundays.
