Life along Wilshire Boulevard between La Brea and Highland was disrupted yesterday morning as crews worked to repair a small underground gas leak. The leak was caused by an MTA crew working on utility relocation in advance of the Purple Line Extension.

The incident happened around 12:30a Wednesday at Orange and Wilshire. Eastbound traffic along Wilshire Boulevard was closed off and some businesses and residents were evacuated – including the Hancock Park Veterinary Clinic. Repairs were complete by 9am.
