You’ve Still Got Time to Respond to the Census!

It’s been a couple of months since we’ve heard much about the 2020 Census, but as the U.S. Census Bureau reminded us today, you’ve still got time to respond if you haven’t done so already.  According to a message sent out on local social media today, you have until October 31 to respond…and you can do it online at https://go.usa.gov/xdKjk …by phone at (844) 330-2020…or by mail by returning the paper questionnaire you should have received in April.

The Census Bureau will also start sending census takers door to door in July (as the COVID-19 situation allows), but the more people who respond before that, the fewer workers who will have to be out on the streets.  In other words, says the Census Bureau:  “It has never been easier to respond on your own, all while practicing social distancing and minimizing the need for the Census Bureau to send census takers out into communities to follow up.”

So if you haven’t yet responded to the census – which is extremely important for everything from election districting to planning for all kind of social services – please do so today!  Just click the link above for more information…or to get started right now.
