Thanks to Fremont Place resident Cam Davis for sharing Town and Country Magazine’s story about the fairytale wedding of his his niece, Olympic gold medalist Meryl Davis, in the French countryside last month.
Davis, who won a gold medal for ice dancing at the 2014 Olympics and more recently was a “Dancing With the Stars” champion, met Fedor Andreev, also a professional skater but five years older than Davis, when his mother, Marina Zoueva, became Davis’s longtime coach, according to Town and Country.
Davis and her now-husband Andreev have known each other for many years now, so their picturesque wedding at the stunning Le Mas des Poiriers, a 65-acre farm outside of Avignon, was like a dream come true for everyone involved.
“It was the honor of my lifetime to have my niece ask me to officiate at her wedding,” Cam Davis told the Buzz. “It was their happiest day, but mine too!”
And we can see why. Photographer Oliver Fly captured the magical day for Town and Country, and writer Lauren Hubbard shared lots of wedding planning details from Davis in the story.
Congratulations to the Davis-Andreev family. The couple has strong ties to Los Angeles and we look forward to seeing them in the neighborhood.
