On November 1st, 2012 Sgt. Young, Officers Balemino, Cabral, Helper, Mollinedo, Pelayo and Stoeklein responded to a radio call of shots fired at an office building on Wilshire Boulevard . The Officers safely apprehended the suspect standing over the victim, without incident.
The ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Olympic Community Police Station on Vermont. Councilmember Tom LaBonge was on hand to congratulate the officers and present them with honorary certificates on their great work.
