Over 150 kids in grades K-12 were treated to an afternoon of haircuts, face painting and play. Volunteers from the Beauty Board, a local nonprofit whose volunteers brings beauty services like mini makeovers and manicures to the homeless, was on hand for haircuts and manicures. In addition, all the kids got brand new backpacks stuffed with school supplies thanks to LA Works, a volunteer action center, who organized a pop up day of service in Santa Monica where volunteers stuffed all the backpacks. The event was held at the historic Oasis Church at Wilshire and Normandie Avenue.
