You may run into Diz White at one of her favorite neighborhood haunts, Girasole, or Chevalier’s Books, or YogaWorks on Larchmont. Or you may run into her in central England in the Cotswolds and she’d be sure to invite you into her quaint cottage. But you can get a taste of both sides of Diz White at the Traveler’s Bookcase this Wednesday, Nov. 28th where she’ll be signing her recently published book, “Cotswolds Memoir -Discovering a Beautiful Region of Britain on a Quest to Buy a 17th Century Cottage.”

A British-born comedic actress who has lived on Plymouth Blvd for almost 15 years, Diz White found herself craving Yorkshire pudding at every meal and realized it was time to explore her roots. After a trip to the Cotswold region in England with her husband Randall Montgomery, White became intent on buying a Cotswold cottage. Her exploits in trying to find the perfect 17th century abode led her to roam the area and meet the people, finding humor and history at every turn. Much along the lines of the Italian story “Under the Tuscan Sun”, the book is one part humorous memoir and one part informative travel guide.
For those unable to make it to Traveler’s Bookcase on Wednesday, the softcover book is also available from Chevalier’s Bookstore and online in digital format via Amazon for those wishing to visit the Cotswolds via their digital tablet.
