Area Christmas Tree Recycling Options

It’s December 26th and for some, the Christmas tree limped through yesterday’s celebration a little dry and ready for that next phase of the tree cycle-of-life…recycling!

The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation offers several options. In all cases, remove the decorations and the tree stand before recycling.

  • Green recycling bin pick-up – cut tree in half and put in your green yard trimmings container
  • Curbside pick-up – in the event you are unable to cut the tree in half, you can put it out by the curb
  • Drop-off tree at one of many drop-off locations – the closest drop-off location to our area is Fire Station #82 at 1800 North Bronson (North of Hollywood Boulevard). Dropoffs are one-day only – SUNDAY, JANUARY 8th 9a-4p.
