According to Councilmember LaBonge’s weekly newsletter, the Councilman introduced a motion this week to use discretionary CD4 funds to repair the concrete alley west of Larchmont Boulevard, north of First Street. The alley has been severely damaged and is dangerous to pedestrians and vehicles. The Bureau of Street Services will carry out this work when the funds are eventually allocated.

About Mary
Mary has lived in the Hancock Park area for over 20 years - including homes in Larchmont Village and Windsor Square. Mary has lived in some great places in her life - but none compare to the convenience and majesty of our neighborhood. For Mary, the neighborhood has been a wonderful home to her large, extended family...at one time she had family members living on seven different Hancock Park area blocks! Larchmont Buzz is a labor of love - built to celebrate the neighborhood and to elevate the conversation in the area.
Wonder if they’ll need to add speed bumps after the pavement is repairs? Left as is, the speed bumps/holes are built in.
This is great! However that alley also needs a safety mirror on both ends — when we are driving can’t see pedestrians and when we are walking can’t see the cars coming. They are not expensive hope they can include a mirror on each end.
Great idea. We’ll send to Councilman LaBonge’s office to see if they can’t make this happen.
