After a 3 month renovation of one of the coveted restaurant spaces on Larchmont Boulevard, the Hamburger Hamlet XP is opening today! Managers of the restaurant have been training staff over the past few days and conducting a soft opening that included free burgers between 12p-2p on Monday, June 11th.
This iteration of the Hamburger Hamlet is  different from what you might be familiar with from the past. It’s a smaller space and the emphasis will be on XP – express. There is seating inside the restaurant, but no waiters. The menu includes every kind of burger – meat, turkey, vegetarian – and a chicken sandwich. Hamlet is known for their burgers and these look like they will live up to the reputation.
Salads are also on the menu – Chicken Caesar, Mediterranean and Rustic Field Greens. Plus, an assortment of fries, onion rings and fried zucchini. And $4 shakes – yes…$4 shakes!
Burger prices range from $5-$6 and salads are priced between $7-8.

Very average burgers and fries, Fat Burger is better and more value.
Was really looking forward to this opening as I thought the burgers would be just like those at Hamlet’s. So its back to the Bungalow where at least the quality is way better or Go or the counter.Sad, wonder what will be there next
Just ate there this week.
Since it’s an ‘express’ the menu is smaller–it really needs some signature Hamburger Hamlet dishes like soup or wings…
Burgers (beef & turkey) were really good (been eating a other H-burger Hamlets since 1976). Skinny fries also good ( regular/ mesquite/ or garlic R the choices). Actually, the portion of fries was REALLY big w/the burger-fries-drink combo costing $9.99. Juicy meat, great buns and manager very good guy.
Inside is stark & not welcoming. Outside needs a better sign, since the entrance is recessed & really not easily visable. Oh, and FATBURGER?…of COURSE they’re great… they’re full-o-FAT….their supposed to be juicy/drippy/slurpy… All Angelenos LOVE FAT BURGER!!
