Owners of The Little Seed announced that they will close the Larchmont Boulevard store at the end of August via signs in front of the store and messages on Twitter/Facebook. They opted not to renew their lease and will take their business fully online.
Founded in 2008 by Paige Goldberg Tolmach and Soleil Moon Frye, The Little Seed sells eco-friendly and organic products for children. In 2010, The Little Seed launched it’s own line of brightly colored, incredibly soft, low-impact clothing for infants and children – coined Green in Every Color – all manufactured in the USA.
Even though The Little Seed will no longer have a store front, they will continue to operate online through a very vibrant and active website. Their website features both an online store and a social, mom-focused web community. Their Facebook page registers over 2,000 likes and they have over 2,700 followers on Twitter. Plus, they have a valuable secret weapon…co-owner Soleil Moon Frye is a former child actor, an author and a successful web entrepreneur. Her twitter following alone is near 1.5 million! So, The Little Seed is well prepared to move fully online.
The Larchmont Boulevard store will be offering 25% off on The Little Seed brand clothing through August 21st.
