Police Surround Shooting Suspect at Wilshire & Mansfield

The LAPD surrounded a shooting suspect at the door on the Mansfield Ave. side of the BMW dealership at Wilshire & Mansfield.  The shooting is reported to have taken place about 1:45 pm today in the parking lot of the Burger King at Wilshire and Orange Dr. The area from La Brea to Mansfield Ave, and Wilshire to 8th St was closed to traffic and businesses and residents were advised to stay indoors. L.A. Now reported that John Burroughs Middle School was on lock-down during the afternoon, and traffic was snarled in the area. We understand the suspect was captured, no word yet on the condition of the victim.
