Update: Proposed Hollywood Freeway Cap Gains Interest of DC Transportation Execs

Larchmont Buzz reported on the Hollywood Central Park project – a plan to build a cap over the top of the Hollywood Freeway in order to create a 44-acre Hollywood park.

The Daily News is reporting that this week local politicians and members of Friends of Hollywood Central Park met with members of the US Department of Transportation, including Department of Transportation Secretary Ray La Hood, to discuss the project. It appears that the project was well received and USDOT is readying next steps.
