You knew it. Â Loads of kids and families knew it. Â Now, all of LA knows it!
Curbed LA has been conducting a vote over the past 7-10 days – asking readers which neighborhoods were the best for trick-or-treating. Â Our ‘hood – under the category of Central/West LA – was up against the likes of Beverly Grove, Gillette’s Regent Square in Santa Monica and the Veteran’s Park area of Culver City. Â Windsor Square/Larchmont Village blew the competition away with 63.7% of the vote.
According to Zillow.com – Los Angeles is the 8th best city in the country for Trick-or-Treating (up from #14 in 2010). Â Their list is based on home values, walk-ability, population density and low crime. Â All very scientific.
So a big thanks to all the voters – and to all the Windsor Square/Larchmont Village homeowners who buy loads and loads of candy and make our neighborhood a welcome place for people from all over. Â By the way…Smart & Final has a great selection of Halloween candy, including 3.5 pound bags of candy for $6.50.
i’ve already got my candy ready – but looks like i need to get more!
I think Van Ness has become tooooo popular with trick or treaters. It has become overwhelming for this family.
