Cottage Antiques Closing

Madeline Sakmar of Cottage Antiques is closing shop after 15 years of doing business on Larchmont. The antique boutique is filled to the brim with silver, dishware, furniture, paintings and fixtures.  The Rimpau resident has a loyal following of antique collectors and interior designers who would drop into the store to chat and look for unique objects.

“We’re keeping our online business going, but it’s just not economically feasible to have the store these days. We’ve already sold most of the big pieces from the store,” Madeline shared with the Buzz. “We’ll certainly miss being a part of the street though. We love the neighborhood, and have especially loved the afternoon tea times and wine hours that we’ve shared with our customers as they drop by the store.”

The Rimpau resident operated the store in the 100 North block of Larchmont before moving it to 562 N. Larchmont. If you want to stop by and pick up a treasure, and say farewell to a local treasure, you’ll have only until April 15th before the doors close.
