Desiring a David?

As everyone seems to know, the renown “Youngwood Court” residence at 3rd and Muirfield, is up for sale, as are all the miniature David statues that ring its circular driveway.

One of the realtors, Richard Battaglia of the John Aaroe Group, wondered how many gawkers causing rear-end collisions might be avoided once the house loses its outdoor decor. Most of the house’s contents, including sparkle-studded stone poodles, life-size wooden animals, and plexiglass tables suspended from the ceiling will be sold beginning this weekend.

Curbed LA has a great set of photos on Inside the House of Davids with Owner Norwood Young if you want to do some pre-shopping research. The estate sale will take place at the 1952 Ranch residence, 302 S Muirfield Rd:

Oct 15-16 and Oct 22-23
Saturdays 9 to 3 and Sundays 12 to 4.
Everything will be sold.

The Los Angeles Times did a story on Norwood Young in August, 2011.
