We dined and imbibed at the Larchmont Grill last Thursday night in support of Hope Net, enjoying a wonderful meal guilt-free knowing that 20% of the bill was going to the charity and its work in eliminating hunger and homelessness in Los Angeles. Certainly not a bad way to do some community service!
It was also my first opportunity to have The Hancock Park . I usually order a glass of red, but veered toward this namesake of our neighborhood instead. It was just what an HP girl would want to take the edges of her bourbon: a shot of Maker’s Mark, a dash of bitters, a hint of mint and fresh lime juice, a splash of club soda, and topped off with some kirsch-soaked cherries. Mmmmm – just what the doctor ordered for a Thursday night.
There are still two more Thursdays in February at the Grill when your dollars get shared with Hope Net. So – treat yourself to a fine meal. A few of the less-fortunate will also eat better too.
