Here are a couple of local restaurant changes you might notice as you head down Beverly Boulevard.
La Otra Taqueira Escuela Opens – One School You’ll Want to Visit this Summer!
Steven Arroyo opened his third eatery along the stretch of Beverly Boulevard between Curson and Stanley – La Otra Taqueria Escuela. Â This new and larger version of the popular Escuela Taqueria (around the corner on Stanley) will have a lot of what we love about the original Escuela, in addition to some new dishes on a deeper menu. Arroyo also owns Potato Chips, the sandwich spot right next door to La Otra Taqueria Escuela. Note – both Escuelas are BYOB.

Kokomo Cafe is Closed
The breakfast/brunch/lunch spot Kokomo Cafe, on Beverly Boulevard, is closed. The restaurant used to be a mainstay at Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax before the restaurant Little Spain took over its stall at the market in April of 2008. At that time, Kokomo moved into the space formerly occupied by a similar style restaurant – Eat Well. Currently, this cute space at the the corner of Bevelry and Martel is in transition as the windows are papered over.
