Crazy Drivers: Metropolis II at LACMA

If you always loved racing your Matchbox cars, or had a thing for the Erector Set, or like me, just love a puzzle of sorts, we hear the new Chris Burden installation opening at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) this weekend is sure to please.

A kinetic sculptural installation created to “evoke the energy of the city” in artist Burden’s words, Metropolis II is said to be noisy, hypnotic and captivating all at once. Sure to please the kids too.

The LACMA website has a lovely short film about the installation if you’d like a sneak peak before heading over to the museum when the Burden show opens Saturday, January 14, 2012.
