LA Pride, Hollywood Fringe Festival Take Center Stage – Events for June 7-9

Our Larchmont Buzz calendar this weekend features plenty of music, book talks, movies (always!), summer seasonal events…and two truly massive celebrations: LA Pride and the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Buzz theater critic Laura Foti Cohen wrote yesterday about the HFF, including some recommendations for what to see among the nearly 400 shows scheduled for the next three weeks, so we’ll defer to her on that event and just note that you can also find at least a few of the scheduled shows on our calendar page, too…so we encourage you to browse there.

Meanwhile, here are some of the many, many other events – including several huge Pride celebrations – on tap for this coming weekend.

First, and probably best known, is the American Cinematheque, housed in the newly Netflix-refurbished Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. Next, there’s Brain Dead Studios, which has taken over the old Silent Movie Theater on Fairfax Ave. And last, but in no way least, is the Los Angeles Conservancy’s annual Last Remaining Seats festival, which each spring shows a great slate of classic films in downtown LA’s historic movie palaces. It’s a great time to go see a movie!

Have a great weekend!
